Penny runs a small rural craft pottery workshop from her home, located on the road to Loch-an-Eilein, about two miles south of Aviemore, where her pottery is displayed and sold.
She uses red earthenware clay and glazes in a mixture of bl;ues and greens, allowing the colours to merge and blend freely, giving a natural sponteneity to her work. She specializes in jugs of all sizes, in large breakfast cups, teapots, mugs, goblets and decanters.
The Pottery is open daily, except Mondays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday is a 'hands-on' day when you can come and make your own. In winter Penny runs evening classes and week-end courses for those who want to get more completely immersed in the clay! Accommodation is also available on a self-catering basis, or you can B&B.
